Special Fried Rice


A quick fried rice to serve as a meal.

Cook time:10 mins

Serves: 2


  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 rashers bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked long grain rice
  • 40g Five Tastes Rice Infusions Shot – Chinese Fried Rice
  • 6 cooked and peeled tiger prawns
  • 8 snow peas, sliced
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 cup bean shoots
  • Fine shreds of spring onion, for garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a wok or large frypan, add beaten egg, swirl over base of pan and cook for 1-2 minutes or until set. Remove and set aside.

Step 2

Cook bacon for 2 minutes, add rice and cook a further 2 minutes. Stir in Five Tastes Rice Infusions Shot, mixing well.

Step 3

Add prawns, snow peas and spring onions to wok, stir fry for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Serve fried rice with sliced omelette strips and combined bean shoots with shredded spring onion.

Tasty Tip!

Diced chicken breast can be substituted for the tiger prawns.
