Mee Goreng


Nasi Goreng is made with rice and Mee Goreng is with noodles, both classic Indonesian dishes.

  • 125g dried egg noodles
  • 1 small chicken breast fillet, thinly sliced
  • 40g Five Tastes Rice Infusions Shot - Nasi Goreng
  • 1 tablespoon kecap manis
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 2 bok choy, roughly chopped
  • 2 spring onions, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon fried shallots
  • 1 red chilli, thinly sliced
  • Bean shoots, for serving


Step 1

Cook noodles following packet directions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat a little oil in a non stick wok or frypan over Medium-High heat. Cook chicken for 1-2 minutes or until golden.

Step 3

Add Five Tastes Rice Infusions Shot, kecap manis and lime juice, stir well. Add drained noodles, bok choy and spring onions, toss to combine and cook until vegetables soften slightly.

Step 4

Serve immediately sprinkled with shallots and bean shoots, garnish with chilli.

Tasty Tip!

Substitute bok choy for broccolini.
